Physical and Hormonal Changes Teenager



The onset of adolescence is presented with a series of physical changes that occur in body: be fruitful and sexual organs are prepared for reproduction

Adolescence is a period of life characterized by a series of physical, psychological and social changes that allow the transformation of the child to adult. Mature reproductive organs that allow function. However, that does not mean that the teen is ready to start their sexual life.

Parents should be very close to their children at this stage to explain the changes that occur, but especially lead them towards a planned and responsible sexuality. Plan the first sexual encounter does not mean "give you ideas" but the teen prepare for a stage in your life and prevent unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.

Major changes in men 

     • Increase in height

     • back and shoulders were widened

     • Decreased fat

     • Presence of pimples due to the development of the sebaceous glands.

     • Strong odor of sweat due to the development of sweat glands.

     • Change in voice, becomes hoarse.

     • Grow the chest.

     • Appears hair on armpits, face, chest, legs, arms, and pubis.

     • The nipple and genital skin becomes darker.

     • Grow the testicles, prostate and penis.

     • First ejaculation occurs.


Major changes in women 

     • Increase in height

     • Hips broaden

     • Accumulation of fat in the hips and thighs.

     • waist is formed

     • Salen pimples.

     • Sweat stronger.

     • Voice finest.

     • Growth of breasts.

     • Grows in armpits and pubic hair

     • Skin genitals and nipples becomes darker

     • Grows labia majora and labia of the vagina, clitoris, vagina and uterus.

     • Menarche appears
